Write To Be Free

To me poetry is an escape. I get to step in someone else's world and try to comprehend their way of living. By reading other people's pieces of work, you learn a whole new outlook on this person. Most poets write about things that occur in their live that either bring them a abundance of happiness, or a lake of sadness. I found why I write poetry, I just let everything go. It is almost as if the hands just do the talking, as my brain allows every little detail I need to put down fall. Over all poetry has taught me one major thing, it isn't real if you censor yourself, so don't hold back your true emotions when writing poetry.

  1. "Lake of sadness" "hands just do the talking" "brain lets details fall"... I love your descriptions. You are a poet at heart.

    Technical issues;
    - period after escape, it's a complete thought
    - people's - apostrophe possessive
